So, many folks, hikers, Indian enthusiasts, etc. have wondered about these mysterious and their mystical interpretation. I will with confidence that these monoliths were NOT carved by Native Americans in this region. Indigenous peoples in our area did not build in stone; they lacked the tools to do so. What they did do with stone was create weapons; consequently, this is one of the primary reasons there is little evidence of their passing in our area. That said, they are fascinating to ponder over.
